We livestream Lutheran worship services in Selden via the "Friends who like Hope Lutheran Church" Facebook group and our "Rev Dr Richard O Hill" YouTube channel on Sundays at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. If you wish to receive notifications on Facebook, join our "Friends who like Hope Lutheran Church" Facebook group or subscribe to the Rev Dr. Richard O. Hill YouTube channel.
Our church began in the fall of 1964, and from the beginning we have been committed to reaching out to and welcoming neighbors from all surrounding communities: Selden, Coram, Port Jeff Station, Centereach, Farmingville, South Setauket, Stony Brook, Middle Island, Ridge, Lake Grove, and beyond.
Hope welcomes all people regardless of their background, race, nationality, age, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.
Lutherans are "evangelical catholics" who proclaim the Lordship of Jesus Christ and affirm the ecumenical creeds and confessions of the Church. Our worship services are liturgical and spiritually uplifting, traditional and contemporary.
Hope serves all people as we are able. We provide a food pantry, have clothing drives, and sponsor scouting programs. We are renewing our Stephen Ministry to provide resources for people going through various life crises.
