At 7:30 pm on Good Friday we have a special devotional service focusing on the cross of Jesus. There are special hymns and the reading of the Passion of the Lord from John's Gospel. There is no Holy Communion during this service.
Our first celebration of the resurrection takes place at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday starting at 7:30 pm. We begin in darkness, and we hear again some of the most powerful Old Testament stories. During the service, we decorate the sanctuary together and celebrate Holy Communion.
Easter Sunday is a great day of celebration. We have a special Easter Sunday Worship Schedule with three services: 7:30, 9:00, and 11 a.m. On Saturday we decorate the church with flowers, banners, and special altar furnishings during the Vigil service.
